Articles of Faith
1. We believe in one only true and living God and that there is a Trinity of persons in the God Head, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and yet these three are one God.
2. We believe the scriptures of the old and new testament are the word of God and the only rule of faith and practice.
3. We believe in the fall of Adam, the impartation of his sin to his posterity in the corruption of human natures and the impossibility of man to recover himself by his own free will or ability.
4. We believe in the everlasting love of God to His people, the covenant of redemption made between the Father and the Son before the foundation of the world and any righteousness of man is imputed by Jesus Christ. All of God’s elect will be called, justified, sanctified, and eternally be glorified, and not one of them will be lost.
5. We believe that good works are the fruit of faith and follow after justification and they justify us only in the sight of angels and men.
6. We believe in a general judgment, resurrection from the dead and the eternal state of all of Adam’s family, the righteous in bliss and the wicked in woe.
7. We believe the visible Church to be a congregation of believers and that Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church and that every individual member has an equal right to the government thereof.
8. We believe that a faithful exercise of discipline tends to the glory of God and the prosperity and happiness of the Church.
9. We believe water baptism by immersion and the Lord’s supper are ordinances of the true Church, and the washing of the Saint’s feet are an example given to us by Jesus Christ.
10. We believe it is the duty of every individual to contribute to the support of the ministry and the poor.
